The Ministry of Agriculture is making efforts to support farmers in the Kursk region by providing tax deferrals and credit benefits. After the emergency situation is over, the damage will be assessed and compensated to each producer. The President has allocated 2.5 billion rubles to support affected farmers. Applications are already being accepted for the government program for the development of rural areas.

Oksana Lut noted that the Ministry of Agriculture is currently making every effort to support farmers in the Kursk region and will continue this work in the future. The main goal is to quickly restore the work of agricultural producers and assist them in achieving planned production volumes.

As part of comprehensive measures to support affected enterprises, a deferral of tax payments and insurance contributions has been introduced, and preferential short-term and investment loans have been extended. In addition, a grace period for payments of accrued interest and principal debt in case of business cessation has been provided. JSC "Rosagrolizing" has extended contracts with affected farmers for one year, maintaining favorable conditions.

An accurate assessment of the damage caused to the regional agro-industrial complex will be made after the end of the state of emergency. Currently, work is being done to compensate for losses with each individual producer.

By order of President Vladimir Putin, a decision was made to allocate 2.5 billion rubles from the Government of the Russian Federation's reserve fund to support agricultural producers affected in the Kursk region. These funds will be used to compensate for losses related to livestock losses.

During the meeting, the participants discussed efforts to improve the quality of life in small rural communities. Alexander Khinshteyn emphasized that the region has already begun accepting applications to participate in the state program for the comprehensive development of rural areas for the year 2026.
