The forecast for grain harvest in the Russian Federation in the new agricultural year (July 2023-June 2024) has been increased by 1.2 million and will amount to 125.5 million tons. Wheat harvest increased from 82.8 million tons in the March forecast to 83.6 million tons
Export of grain in the new agricultural year, according to the MSZ, will amount to 52 million tons (+1 million to the previous forecast). Export of wheat remained unchanged and is estimated at 42.2 million tons.
Experts also predict an increase in the wheat harvest in India - up to 109 million tons against 108 million tons earlier, the EU - from 136.6 million to 137.8 million tons. At the same time, the forecast for wheat was lowered in the US - from 51.4 million to 49.4 million tons.
The forecast for wheat exports from Russia's closest competitor, the EU, has been raised by 600,000 to 36 million tons. The forecast for grain exports from the EU as a whole will be 50.3 million tons.
