Maxim Egorov expressed gratitude to Sergey Lavrov for supporting projects in the field of agrarian diplomacy and presented a report on the achievements in cooperation between representatives of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, regions, developed institutions of the agro-industrial complex, and finance. In his speech, he emphasized that regions with high population growth rates, including countries in Africa, India, and the Middle East, will experience increasing demand for food. Maxim Egorov noted that Russian regions are ready to offer their agricultural products to these regions. Work in this direction is already underway, including financial settlement options with partners under sanctions and prospects for expanding markets for Russian products. As an example, Maxim Egorov mentioned the work of the Eurasian Center for Food Security at Moscow State University and proposed to unite the best research institutes of Russia, including the Michurin scientific town in the agricultural field, with friendly countries to create an International Center for Food Security and Hunger Eradication. The center's goal will be to develop agricultural solutions for countries experiencing food problems, including establishing their own agricultural production and food industry, creating new varieties of crops considering local conditions, adapting modern IT developments for implementation in these countries, and training specialists from friendly countries. Maxim Egorov suggested including the discussion of this initiative in the agenda of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum scheduled for June. "The benefit for Russia - both political and economic - is evident. First, we are not only helping our partners fight hunger in words. Second, the rearmament of agricultural production in countries oriented towards Russian standards makes cooperation with Russia the most preferable now and in the future. Finally, the work of the International Center is the development of our technologies and our production," said Maxim Egorov. The initiative in the field of agrarian diplomacy has received support to strengthen the role of Russian regions as suppliers of agricultural products in the global market and to strengthen Russia's positions on the international stage.
