During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the head of the Altai Territory, Viktor Tomenko, met with representatives of the company "Blago," which plans to implement a significant investment project in Rubtsovsk for the construction of a sunflower and rapeseed processing plant, he announced in his Telegram channel.
"We continue to cooperate with the company 'Blago,' specializing in sunflower oil production. In our region, it already operates two production plants in the largest cities – in Barnaul and Biysk. During the SPIEF, we discussed the possibility of creating a third plant in Rubtsovsk, where a large investment project is planned, involving the construction of an elevator and processing plant with investments of over 14 billion rubles," Viktor Tomenko said.
According to the head of the region, the company representatives emphasized that they plan to use Russian equipment to the maximum extent possible in the construction of the plant. The final product is expected to be exported, primarily to China. This aligns with the country's goals, including import substitution and increasing the volume of agricultural exports.
Additional information: One of the leading companies in Russia in sunflower oil production, the "Blago" group of companies, continues to expand its activities in the Altai Territory. It is expected that around 360 new jobs will be created in Rubtsovsk. According to the company's plans, the project should be fully implemented by 2030. The "Blago" company's products are in demand both in Russia and abroad. Processing and export volumes have significantly increased over the past five years.
