Due to abnormally high temperatures in the summer of this year, during the growing season, the gross harvest of wheat decreased by 26.5%, barley - by 32.6%. This is stated in the materials of the National Statistics Committee.
Temperature fluctuations in the spring affected the timing of ripening of legumes and oilseeds. Thus, as of September 23 of this year, leguminous crops were harvested from an area of 44.3 thousand hectares, which is 8% less compared to the corresponding date last year; oilseeds were harvested from an area of 12.8 thousand hectares, or 18% less.
Along with this, compared to the same date last year, there was a significant increase in the gross harvest of vegetables - by 8.2%, corn for grain - by 6.5%, melons - by 4%, potatoes - by 3.6% and fruits. -berry crops - by 0.8%.
