Iran has purchased 240,000 tons of wheat from Russia through the State Trading Corporation: details of the deal.

Russia is restoring its own sugar beet seed breeding system. Already 20% of the seeds are of domestic origin. The company "UnionSeedBeet" is developing genetics and creating resistant hybrids, harvesting up to 8 tons of sugar per hectare. The production of national seeds is growing and becoming more accessible, and government support is promoting scientific research.

The forecast for wheat is 6.05 t/ha, which is 9% higher than last year. Barley is projected at 5.23 t/ha, while maize is expected to reach 7.46 t/ha. The yield of rapeseed in 2025 is estimated at 3.17 t/ha.

The Russian government has extended the temporary ban on the export of live rice until the end of 2025 due to production problems following the accident at the hydropower plant. Exceptions to the ban include supplies to the Eurasian Economic Union and humanitarian aid.

A tariff quota has been introduced for the export of processed rice and cereals.
