Iran has purchased 240,000 tons of wheat from Russia through the State Trading Corporation: details of the deal.

Iran has purchased 240,000 tons of wheat from Russia through GTC. Prices ranged from 292 euros to 314 dollars per ton on CIF delivery terms to Iranian ports.

Another two batches of 60,000 tons were bought at 323 euros or 347.35 dollars per ton.

According to Reuters, the Iranian State Food and Grain Corporation (GTC) has recently purchased around 240,000 tons of wheat, which will be delivered from Russia.

The entire wheat purchase was made in several stages:

  • 120,000 tons of food wheat were bought at a price ranging from 292 euros to 314 US dollars per ton on CIF delivery terms to Iranian ports;
  • Two batches of 60,000 tons each were purchased at a price of 323 euros or 347.35 US dollars per ton on the same CIF delivery terms.
