In Iraq, a shipment of 40 thousand tons of Russian grain has been delivered. Another similar batch is expected to be delivered in the next two weeks. This was announced by Haider al-Karawi, the director of the General Grain Trading Company in Iraq, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, a ship with 40 thousand tons of Russian grain arrived in Iraq three days ago and is currently undergoing inspection. Tomorrow, the grain will be sent to flour mills. The arrival of a second batch of grain of the same volume is expected in the near future. Iraq intends to continue importing Russian grain as long as it meets high quality standards.
Earlier in September, Haider al-Karawi told RIA Novosti about the company's plans to import 150 to 200 thousand tons of wheat from Russia monthly.
