Gorkunov Group registered a new entity in the Novosibirsk region at the end of April - LLC Emelyanovsky, as reported by the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. The company's location coincides with the location of the Emelyanovsky agro-complex, according to Kommersant. A source from the agricultural market interviewed by the publication does not rule out that the new entity was created to acquire the assets of the latter.
JSC Emelyanovsky was registered in 2003. The company's revenue in 2024, according to Rusprofile, amounted to 1.16 billion rubles, increasing by 12.7% year on year. Net profit slightly decreased to 26.1 million rubles. The company produces salads and vegetables under the brand "Em rodnoe". According to the financial statements of Emelyanovsky for 2024, the main owners of the business are Svetlana Stepanova (40%) and Konstantin Kodolov (27%). The beneficiaries of the company are Siberian entrepreneurs who previously participated in the development of regional store chains "Kora" and "Holiday".
The CEO of "Growth Technologies" company Tamara Reshetnikova says that Gorkunov Group is the largest producer of greenhouse vegetables in Eastern Russia, and according to her, the company is interested in expanding its capacities in Siberia. The agroholding's website states that it has over 100 hectares of modern 4th-generation winter greenhouses for year-round cultivation of vegetables using hydroponic technology with assimilation lighting. The greenhouse complexes supply over 10,000 tons of cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce per month to the markets of the Central, Northwestern, Southern, Far Eastern, Volga, Ural, and Siberian federal districts.
In April, the founder and head of the Gorkunov Group, Boris Gorkunov, in an interview with Agroinvestor, shared that the most profitable and the most challenging business of the company is cucumber production. He also noted that the greenhouse industry will continue to develop until the market becomes saturated.
