According to the analysis of the data from the Indonesian statistical agency, Russia exported grains to Indonesia in January-August for a record amount of $273 million.
The main product offered by Russia in the Indonesian market is wheat. In the first eight months of this year, supplies of this grain increased by 4.3 times, reaching 964 thousand tons. In terms of value, exports grew by 3.9 times, reaching $270 million.
Australia turned out to be the main wheat supplier to Indonesia in January-August, supplying the product for a total of $741 million. It is followed by Canada ($640 million), Ukraine ($395 million), and Argentina ($393 million). Russia ranks fifth in this list of leaders.
In addition to wheat, Russia exports millet to Indonesia. However, this year, the volume of exports of this grain decreased by 2.9 times to $3.2 million.
