On September 6th, 1300 tons of Kazakh wheat were sent from the October platform (Taiynshinsky district) to the city of Xi'an (China), as reported by the official source - Kazakhstan Railways.

The initiator of the new route container train was the joint company JSC "Kedentransservice" (a subsidiary of JSC "NC" KTZ ") in cooperation with the dry international port of the city of Xi'an - LLC "Sino-Kazakhstan Trade and Logistics Company".

The northern region of Kazakhstan holds leading positions in wheat and flour production, and is also the largest grain exporter to the country. From the beginning of September 2022 to June 2023, the volume of grain exports to China increased fourfold, reaching 1.1 million tons.

"The active participation of LLC 'Sino-Kazakhstan Trade and Logistics Company' in the launch of the first container train with grain will add a new impetus to the development of cooperation in the agricultural and trade-transport sectors of both countries and will allow in the future to maximize the opportunities of the new joint freight terminal in the city of Xi'an," the company said in an official statement.

The company also intends to expand shipping directions, involving other regions of Kazakhstan in the process, and plans to provide return loading of trains with popular imports from China, expanding the range of transported goods.
