According to the information as of August 25, experts from the Novorossiysk division of the Center for Grain Quality Assessment conducted approximately 11.7 thousand sampling requests at the request of agricultural producers for wheat analysis during state control.
In total, 9,811.2 thousand metric tons of grain of the same crop were examined, which represents 94.1% of the total wheat harvest collected.
The largest portion of wheat that passed the state control inspection is located in the Kanevsky (531.9 thousand tons), Kushchevsky (493.6 thousand tons), Novopokrovsky (464.9 thousand tons), Yeisk (441.7 thousand tons), and Tikhoretsky (422.9 thousand tons) districts.
The experts from the Center for Grain Quality Assessment conducted analyses on 19 important indicators, including moisture content, gluten content and quality, protein content, impurities composition, and other characteristics that affect the quality and safety of grain.
According to preliminary data, over 78% of the inspected wheat in the region belongs to the food category: 17.8% is of the 3rd grade, 60.9% is of the 4th grade.
