Analysts at Agritel expect that in 2023/24 MY France could export up to 17 million tons of soft wheat, which will exceed the result in 2022/23 MY (16.4 million tons) due to active exports to the EU countries, according to Nasdaq.
At the same time, according to analysts, the volume of shipments of French wheat outside the countries of the block in the current season may decrease to 9.5 million tons against 10 million tons in 2022/23 MY, in particular against the backdrop of reduced supplies to Morocco and Algeria.
It is also noted that experts have kept the forecast for the wheat harvest in France this year. at the level of 34.8 million tons (+3% per year), while the French Ministry of Agriculture in the latest report raised the forecast for grain production to 35.59 million tons against the initial estimate of 35 million tons.
