According to the information provided by the Chechen branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center of Agroanalytics," in the first days of March, agricultural producers of the Republic began plowing for sowing spring crops. This year, it is planned to plant them on an area of 122.1 thousand hectares. Among these areas, 43.0 thousand hectares are allocated for spring cereals and leguminous crops, 16.4 thousand hectares for industrial crops, 12.2 thousand hectares for potatoes and melon crops, and 50.5 thousand hectares for forage crops.
The total crop area in 2025 will be 304.2 thousand hectares. Of these, 168 thousand hectares are intended for winter crops: 140.1 thousand hectares for grain crops, 27.9 thousand hectares for rapeseed, and 14.1 thousand hectares for perennial grasses from previous years.
As of March 26, 22.2 thousand hectares of spring crops were sown on farms of all categories, including resowing of winter crops and perennial grasses. Of them, 18.1 thousand hectares are occupied by grain and leguminous crops, and 3.5 thousand hectares by forage crops.
There is no shortage of mechanization equipment, labor resources, plant protection agents, and lubricants in the region. During the spring field work, it is planned to use 1,627 tractors, 596 seeders, 710 plows, and 411 cultivators.
"Monitoring of the condition of winter crops showed that at the moment, 60% of sowings are in satisfactory condition, and 40% are in good condition. Fertilization of winter grain crops for the 2025 harvest was carried out on an area of 140.1 thousand hectares, which is 100% of the plan. Work was also done on purchasing seeds for spring sowing. Agricultural commodity producers of the republic are fully provided with seeds of domestic breeding for the spring field work. Field work for the 2025 harvest will be carried out efficiently and at the optimal agronomic time," - said representatives of the department.
