In 2024, Stavropol, Koshkinsky, Privolzhsky, and Chelno-Vershinsky districts stand out as leaders in productivity indicators.
An operational meeting of the government of the Samara region took place on Monday, October 14, 2024, where the results of the agricultural season were discussed. At the moment, about 96% of the sown areas have already been processed in the region.
"This year, the total area of sowing agricultural crops amounted to 2242.9 thousand hectares. By October 14, 1188 thousand hectares have already been harvested in the Samara region, and the yield reached 20.8 centners per hectare," noted the temporary Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Samara region, Nikolai Abashin.
As a result, the leaders in terms of yield are the Stavropol, Koshkinsky, Privolzhsky, and Chelno-Vershinsky districts. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, such as floods, recurrent frosts, and drought, the year turned out to be difficult for agricultural workers. Among the districts with low yield, the Bolshchernigovsky, Alexeevsky, and Pestravsky districts can be distinguished.
Currently, about 72% of winter crops in the region are in good or satisfactory condition. Work is also continuing on the restoration of unused lands.
