Belsakhar plant: successful completion of the 2023/24 season and plans for the future

The "Belsakhar" factory in the Kursk region has successfully completed its season, processing 179.3 thousand tons of sugar beets and producing 25 thousand tons of sugar. The production lasted for 120 days. The sugar is packaged in 50 kg bags for sale in the domestic and foreign markets, including Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The factory plans to increase the production volume to 250 thousand tons of beets in the next season and install a pulp dryer for use in livestock farming.

The Belsakhar plant, owned by the Ekonova group and located in the Kursk region, successfully completed the 2023/24 season. During this period, the plant processed 179.3 thousand tons of sugar beets and the result was more than 25 thousand tons of sugar. The production used beets grown in the group’s clean fields, as well as purchased from local farmers. Production lasted 120 days.

Sugar at the plant is packaged in 50 kg bags for sale on both the domestic and foreign markets, including Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Exports are planned to begin in the first quarter of 2024. By-products of production, such as molasses and bagasse, were used internally or transferred to third parties.

In the next season 2024/25, Belsakhar plans to reach full production volume, processing up to 250 thousand US dollars. a ton of candles. It is also planned to install a pulp dryer at the plant for use in livestock farming.

"Belsakhar" was produced by Ekonov in 2018. In 2023, the plant was restarted by the leadership of Governor Roman Starovoit with the participation of 346 people throughout the city. During the off-season, the company employs more than 200 people.
