The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has proposed extending the ban on the export of rapeseed from the country until August 31, 2024. The corresponding draft resolution was published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
The document states that a temporary ban on the export of rapeseed from the Russian Federation will be in effect from March 1 to August 31, 2024. However, the ban will not apply to rapeseed seeds that are exported to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as to seeds provided as international humanitarian aid or within the framework of intergovernmental agreements.
The ban on the export of rapeseed from Russia was already extended in August 2023 until February 29, 2024.
