Deputy Prosecutor General Igor Tkachev has filed a new lawsuit in the Chelyabinsk Central Court. He demands the seizure of over 18.1 billion rubles from the former owners of the company "Makfa", which they received in the form of dividends, distributed profits, and loans from 2002 to 2024. The lawsuit includes the names of 13 defendants, including former governor Mikhail Yurevich and former deputy Vadim Belousov. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 5.
In addition, the General Prosecutor's Office plans to seize stakes in the authorized capital of LLC "Mishkinsky Produkt", which is part of the "Makfa" structure and is registered to Marina Savranskaya. The General Prosecutor's Office believes that these stakes are corrupt assets and should be transferred to the state.
Lawyer Igor Trunov, representing the interests of Mikhail Yurevich, considers the lawsuit to be illegal and unsubstantiated. He claims that the seizure of property not confirmed by its legal origin is a measure of public safety, not a criminal punishment. The lawyer believes that the General Prosecutor's Office is trying to mix criminal and civil law by alleging the illegal participation of Yurevich and Belousov in entrepreneurial activities.
Trunov also notes that through signs of complicity in a crime, this measure is applied only to government officials and their close relatives, not to private individuals like Yurevich and Belousov.
Earlier, the court arrested "Makfa" shares as a result of a lawsuit by the General Prosecutor's Office. The defendants, including "Makfa" and other companies, offered to conclude a settlement and pay 10 billion rubles to the state, but then the court decided to seize "Makfa" assets in favor of the state. The decision was confirmed at the end of July.
