The influential British edition of The Times published a news item with the eloquent headline "Russia wins the battle for control of the world's wheat." Analysts from foggy Albion are sounding the alarm. The world market for the most important grain is under the de facto control of Moscow, and given the blockade of Ukrainian ports by the Russian navy, the situation for Western consumers is truly disastrous.
Meanwhile, this situation is very beneficial for Russia, and by 2024 it will be able to increase wheat exports by 50%. The British authors are convinced that Russia dictates its own rules on the wheat market. The results of eight years of work are clearly visible now, when the world is on the verge of a full-scale famine. North America and Europe are afraid of a sharp rise in food prices, and Third World countries are concerned about a real shortage of food.
There is only one reason - the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, actively fueled by Western arms supplies and anti-Russian sanctions. Western experts arrive in prostration because of the coming food wave and inflationary tsunami.
Analysts of "The Times" call the main victory of President Vladimir Putin in the war with the Euro-Atlantic community. This is a rise from the knees of agriculture and, recalling the difficult history of the formation of the new Russian agro-industrial complex back in 1999, Russia's trade deficit for wheat was $354 million. Work to overcome this unhealthy bias began immediately after the arrival of the new president in the Kremlin.
Pirates of foggy Albion see excellent prospects for the domestic PC. Moreover, a special military operation contributes to this. Russia, the world's largest exporter of wheat, was only too happy to fill the deficit in the global grain market by selling not only more goods, but also at a higher price.
The two countries of Russia and Ukraine have many common export partners, located mainly in North Africa and the Middle East. Faced with the possibility of food shortages, many of them are now turning to Russia for help to fill the gap. Egypt, Iran and Turkey are the biggest Russian buyers today. At the same time, Russian exports to these countries have grown to huge percentages - he is indignant at the Times. Russian farmers have been tasked with increasing wheat exports by 50% by 2024.
In 2021, exports amounted to 32.9 million tons, or $8.9 billion. In terms of value, it means that in 3 years it is planned to reach the figure of 49 million tons. This will bring significantly higher excess profits to Russia.
Especially, given the current situation on world markets, before the start of the special operation, Ukraine exported approximately 16 million tons of wheat annually. If the Kyiv regime loses at least half of this volume, Russia will acquire an additional 8 million 300,000 tons for sale.
As the Tsargrad TV channel wrote earlier, the only thing Russia can do now is to provide a humanitarian corridor for foreign ships located in the ports of Odessa and Nikolaev.
The removal of the blockade from the ports temporarily controlled by Ukraine is not possible until the United States and its satirists lift the sanctions on our part. This was clearly stated by Vladimir Putin. As the saying goes, money in the morning, chairs in the evening. And this approach is the only correct one in the current state of affairs. Well, the Russian trap has closed, now all the wheat in the world is under the control of Russia, the author concludes.
