Last week, a massive corn harvest started in the United States, reports the Grain On-Line agency.
As of September 10, 5% of the area under corn was threshed (5% as of the same date last year and 4% on average over the last five years). This is stated in the report of the National Agricultural Statistical Service of the US Department of Agriculture (NASS USDA).
The spring wheat harvest has been collected from 87% of the area (83% as of the same date last year and 87% on average over the last five years).
Winter wheat sowing was carried out on 7% (9% and 7%) of the area.
The condition of soybean crops has worsened slightly over the past week. The share of soybean crops in excellent and good condition decreased by 1% to 52%, which is 4% less than a year ago.
