In Russia, a project of "super clean agriculture" is being developed, without GMOs and chemicals, based on peat and biofertilizers.

Dmitry Peskov proposed a project to create super clean agriculture in Russia, excluding GMOs and chemicals. The use of biofertilizers from peat bogs and soil renovation after climate changes will help create environmentally friendly food and new animal husbandry. Also proposed is a project to transform deserts into fertile lands.

According to Dmitry Peskov, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for digital and technological development issues, as well as the general director of the Autonomous Non-profit Organization "NTI Platform," in the coming years it will be possible to implement a project in Russia to create a segment of "super clean agriculture" that excludes genetically modified organisms and even chemical fertilizers.

He emphasized that this could be achieved through the use of products developed during the era of food security in the Soviet Union, which include the use of peat. In other words, biological fertilizers obtained from peatlands are used. There are many peatlands in our country, no less than artificial fertilizers, and this can be positioned as super clean food, which can also be exported to friendly countries.

Another project included in the "Earth as Technology" block and selected by an expert council proposes the "renovation of soils" that arise as a result of global climate change. This project is based on the research of Russian scientist Sergey Zimov, who successfully restored the mammoth-era steppe, where a lot of livestock and vegetation now thrive.

Peskov highlighted "two very strong effects" that Zimov's project could bring. The first effect is preventing the rapid thawing of permafrost, and the second is the emergence of a completely new direction in animal husbandry.

In addition, Dmitry Peskov mentioned another project that proposes transforming deserts into fertile chernozem soil, but noted that at the moment this project requires additional verification.
