Thanks to the continued operation of water ports, Ukraine increased corn exports to China. This was noted by experts from the analytical center of the agricultural cooperative “PUSK”, which was created within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Rada.
According to analysts, since the beginning of this month, November 27, Ukraine has exported 2.4 million tons of corn out of a planned 2.5 million tons. In December, 2.2 million tons have already been contracted.
“Water ports have begun to operate, and Ukraine is actively selling corn to China, where the price is about $250 per ton, which is a competitive price. Over the past week, China purchased about 100-120 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn, and the week before - 100-150 thousand That is, every week one or two Panamaxes are sent to China, where buyers are satisfied with the price ratio and quality of Ukrainian grain,” the message says.
In this regard, analysts predict that prices for Ukrainian corn continue to rise, as demand on the Chinese side remains stable.
"There is little corn in the CPT market and prices fluctuate greatly depending on the size of the lot. Currently they range from $144 to $153 per ton, but could reach $165 per ton."
