The Russian Federation this year can harvest about 27.775 million tons of four key oilseeds, which will be the second largest harvest after the record 2022 (28.6 million tons), according to a presentation by ProZerno at the Grain of Siberia forum.
Sunflower harvest is expected to hit a new high again and amount to 16.596 million tons (16.357 million tons last year). The company estimates that the soybean crop will also rise to reach a record 6.009 million tonnes (5.998 million tonnes).
At the same time, according to ProZerno, the production of oil flax will be reduced by a third, and rapeseed by more than 10% - to 1.163 million tons and 4.007 million tons (1.49 million tons of winter; 2.52 million tons of spring), respectively.
In addition, according to the company's preliminary forecasts, in Russia this year. 140 million tons of grain will also be threshed.
In particular, the wheat harvest is estimated at 90.7 million tons (104.2 million tons in 2022), incl. 62.1 million tons of winter (74 million tons). The barley harvest will decrease to 20.5 million tons from 23.4 million tons a year earlier. Corn can be harvested 15 million tons against 15.9 million tons in 2022.
