Türkiye gradually increases the export of sunflower oil

According to Oil World experts, the volume of sunflower oil reserves in Turkey has doubled over the year, against which the country is gradually increasing its exports of the product, while its imports will decrease in August-December of this year.

Thus, according to analysts, the stocks of sunflower oil in Turkey at the beginning of August increased by 2 times - up to 500 thousand tons. This indicator was achieved thanks to the active import of the product in the period from September to July 2022/23 MY, which reached a record 1.27 million tons (+0.4 million tons per year). At the same time, Türkiye imported the main volumes of sunflower oil from Ukraine.

Sunflower oil export volumes by Turkey in July increased to 57 thousand tons against 36 thousand tons in June, while the main volumes were shipped to Ethiopia (15 thousand tons). In total, in MY 2022/23, Turkey exported 634,000 tons of sunflower oil, which is 141,000 tons more than in the previous MY.
