Decrease in grain yield, but increase in corn.

Rosstat reported that in 2023 the yield of agricultural crops in Russia decreased: wheat by 10.4%, barley by 8.3%, while corn, on the contrary, increased by 15.6%. In total, the yield of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 31 quintals per hectare.

Information from Rosstat regarding the yield of agricultural crops in farms of all categories of the Russian Federation has been published. In 2023, the following was recorded: - The yield of cereals and leguminous crops was 31 c/ha (-7.7% compared to the previous year); - The yield of cereals was 31.7 c/ha (-7.5%); - The yield of wheat was 31.8 c/ha (-10.4%); - The yield of barley was 27 c/ha (-8.3%); - The yield of maize for grain was 69.3 c/ha (+15.6%); - The yield of rice was 57.9 c/ha (+6.8%); - The yield of buckwheat was 12 c/ha (+8.2%).
