An enterprise in the Chelyabinsk region processes Chinese seeds into oil, and then supplies these products throughout the world. Customs has authorized the supply of raw materials for this purpose.
Employees of the Ural Electronic and Yekaterinburg customs cleared the import of a batch of sunflower seeds. 220 containers weighing about 5 thousand tons arrived in the Urals from China. The total value of the goods is more than $7 million. In the coming days, another 54 containers with seeds will arrive in the Urals. This was reported by the press service of the government agency.
All deliveries are intended for the Chelyabinsk company, which, after processing in the Southern Urals, exports the products throughout the world,” said Alexey Frolov, head of the Ural Customs Department.
In 2023, about 30 thousand tons of seeds worth almost $50 million were brought to the Urals. The peak of deliveries occurred in March and April. Earlier, CHEL DK reported that the Chelyabinsk region doubled its supplies of sunflower oil abroad in 2023.
