According to information from RBC Chernozemye, the agricultural campaign in the Kursk region in 2024 is taking place under extreme conditions.

Local farmers continue to harvest sugar beet. According to the latest data, they have already managed to harvest about 50 thousand hectares of beet fields, which is 47% of the plan. The total harvested crop has exceeded 2 million tons of sweet roots, with an average yield of 434 centners per hectare.

Due to the current situation, the forecasted production of sugar beet in the region will amount to about 4 million tons, which is 23% less than last year, or 1.2 million tons less.
