In the first three months of 2024, the volume of fertilizer production in Russia increased by 18.9% compared to the same period last year, reaching 7.1 million tons in terms of 100% nutrient content. This information was reported by the TASS news agency, citing Rosstat data.
In March of this year, fertilizer production grew by 22% compared to last year and by 12.6% compared to February of the current year.
According to the statistical agency, ammonia production increased by 5.1% over the three months and reached 4.6 million tons, while sulfur production decreased by 45.3% to 1.5 million tons. Plastics production increased by 3.8% to 2.8 million tons.
As previously reported, the production volume of mineral fertilizers in Russia in 2023 increased by 10.3%, reaching 26 million tons in terms of 100% nutrient content.
