If Moscow decides not to extend the "grain deal" in 60 days, Russia is ready to supply grain to African countries in need for free. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this at the parliamentary conference "Russia-Africa".
He noted that the volume of supplies will be equal to the previous shipments to African countries carried out within the framework of the "grain deal". Russia agreed to extend the agreements on exporting Ukrainian food through the Black Sea for 60 days, taking into account the needs of African countries.
The President emphasized that Russia focuses on the comprehensive nature of this deal, primarily in the interests of African and other developing countries, considering their need for large amounts of food. He also stressed the importance of full compliance with key Russian requirements.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the consent to extend the "grain deal" for 60 days was given by all parties involved in the deal.
