Starting from February 29, Russian pork will be exported to China
The access approval process has already been completed for several enterprises, and the list of these enterprises has been indicated. It includes the company "ZAO Swine Complex Korocha" from the Belgorod region, owned by the agroholding "Miratorg", as well as LLC "Tambov Bacon" and OJSC "Velikoluksky Combinat", which are part of the "Rusagro" Group of Companies.
"Miratorg" has confirmed the registration process completion, while "Rusagro" has announced the completion of all procedures and plans to start deliveries in March. Agreements have already been reached with some potential clients. "Velikoluksky Combinat" and "Sibagro", which also announced their plans, are currently refraining from comments.
The export of Russian pork to the Chinese market was approved at the end of last year, but some technical details needed to be coordinated. In December, the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) Sergey Dankvert, speaking on the TV channel "Russia 24", said that shipments could start in the next two months. In February, it was announced that exports would be allowed after the end of the Chinese New Year ("Spring Festival").
