The overall support for all major agricultural sub-industries in Russia this year will amount to 600 billion rubles. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this during a meeting in the State Duma dedicated to the reconsideration of his candidacy for the position of Head of Government.
He referred to this support as a significant resource. The Prime Minister provided specific amounts allocated to certain areas. For example, 68 billion rubles were allocated to the program for the comprehensive development of rural areas (KRSR), and 40.7 billion for land reclamation.
“These are reserved funds that will already be used with maximum efficiency,” noted the Head of Government.
Mishustin also mentioned other areas that will receive comprehensive support. This includes the development of genetics and breeding both in crop production and animal husbandry, ensuring the agricultural industry with important enzymes, feed additives, and veterinary drugs, as well as technological independence in agricultural engineering.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that, thanks to the current achievements of the agricultural sector and additional income, the Government will be able to continue investing in the development of agriculture and supporting all funding programs in this sector.
