According to the latest data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of June 13, 5.566 million hectares of spring cereals and leguminous crops were sown in Ukraine, which is 99.4% of the planned area (5.601 million hectares).
According to the ministry's report, the sown area of cereals and leguminous crops increased by 17.5 thousand hectares over the past week.
Breaking down the data by crops, the sowing results for the specified date are as follows:
- wheat - 253.8 thousand hectares, which is 103.1% of the plan (246.1 thousand hectares);
- barley - 785.1 thousand hectares, which is 96% of the plan (818 thousand hectares);
- peas - 162.5 thousand hectares, which is 101.6% of the plan (159.9 thousand hectares);
- oats - 164.1 thousand hectares, which is 100.9% of the plan (162.7 thousand hectares);
- corn - 3.939 million hectares, which is 101% of the plan (3.912 million hectares);
- buckwheat - 102.2 thousand hectares, which is 82% of the plan (124.8 thousand hectares);
- millet - 71.1 thousand hectares, which is 83% of the plan (85.3 thousand hectares);
- other cereals and leguminous crops - 88.3 thousand hectares, which is 96% of the plan (92.4 thousand hectares).
As for oil crops, as of June 13, 5.212 million hectares of sunflower were sown in Ukraine, which is 99% of the planned area (5.288 million hectares), and 2.047 million hectares of soybeans, which is 103% of the planned area (1.99 million hectares).
