Agricultural enterprises in the Kaluga region are actively preparing for the spring sowing season. This year it is planned to sow spring crops on an area of 169.6 thousand hectares.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kaluga Region, grain and leguminous crops will be sown on 107.6 thousand hectares. To carry out sowing work on such an area, 13.8 thousand tons of seed and planting material will be required. At the moment, 9 thousand tons have already been purchased and filled, which is 65% of the planned volume.
In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kaluga Region reported that 6.2 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers were purchased, which is 15% of the planned volume.
Preparation for spring sowing is an important stage for agricultural enterprises. The success of the harvest and the further profitability of enterprises depend on correctly carried out work.
