The Grain Quality Assessment Center plans to create its own testing laboratory at the Trans-Baikal Grain Terminal, which is part of the New Land Grain Corridor Group of Companies and is implementing a development program supported by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. This is an international project that plays an important role in the development of Russian-Chinese relations in the field of agriculture.

During the visit of Deputy Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Grain Quality Assessment" Maria Shostak and Director of the Trans-Baikal Branch Alexey Nasedkin to the terminal, negotiations were held with the management of the "Trans-Baikal Grain Terminal" and the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Trans-Baikal Territory on the possibility of opening a testing laboratory on the territory of the terminal.

The opening of a testing laboratory will speed up the process of issuing test reports and other necessary documents on site, which will help avoid delays in sending grain by rail. The Center’s specialists will select grain samples for testing, analyze grain quality indicators and identify quarantine objects and contamination, which is especially important for grain exports.

“This will speed up the issuance of test reports and other documents on site, so as not to delay railway rolling stock. Specialists of the institution, right here in the release zone, will select test samples of batches, conduct research regarding the identification of quarantine objects, contamination and quality indicators of grain sent for export,” explains Maria Shostak.

The head of the Trans-Baikal Grain Terminal, Andrei Orlov, called the visit of representatives of the Center for Grain Quality Assessment an important event.

“We strive to ensure that products passing through the Transbaikal Grain Terminal meet high quality and safety standards. Therefore, we appreciate the exceptional competence of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Grain Quality Assessment Center” in this area. We are confident that this visit will allow us to develop the most effective mechanisms of interaction that will ensure existing requirements in the field of quality of grain products in connection with the need for prompt grain transshipment at our terminal, in particular, laboratory express research at the grain transportation control point,” Orlov emphasized.

The Trans-Baikal grain terminal is the world's first specialized full-cycle land terminal ensuring high quality standards of supplied products.
