Also, the ministry reminded that in such regions, the cost of this product is below the average level in Russia, and the consumption of this meat and its processed products is not widespread.
This is how the ministry commented on the information from Rosstat about the increase in prices for Russian lamb, which was reported by the RBC news agency. The agency also referred to producers and experts who explained the price increase by a tenfold increase in lamb exports to Iran against the backdrop of alleged shortages of this meat in the domestic market, rising costs for logistics, equipment for slaughtering cattle, and other expenses.
