US scientists suggest adding copper to pig feed

American researchers from Texas Tech University in Amarillo have found that copper can be a beneficial feed additive for pigs. This statement was made based on a study published in the journal Microbiology Spectrum. Researchers noted the antimicrobial properties of copper and suggested that a copper supplement could improve the condition of pigs' intestines and protect them from pathogenic microorganisms. To minimize the impact on the animals' organisms, copper is added in the form of balls that can gradually dissolve painlessly in the animals' gastrointestinal tract. Approximately half of farmers in Russia experience seed problems — survey

Almost half of farmers have encountered problems with purchasing and using domestic planting material. This is evidenced by the data of a survey conducted by the specialists of the company "Yakov and Partners." The survey showed that 36 percent consider seeds to be one of the most problematic resources. Survey participants also expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of domestic seeds and their limited choice compared to foreign analogues. Moreover, 65 percent of farmers complained about the low prices for selling seeds. Analysts noted that these problems are typical not only for a significant part of Russian farmers, but also for seed producers.

Russia is considering the possibility of creating a single fuel supply operator for farmers and developing a new comprehensive plan to stabilize the situation in the fuel market. The price regulatory body called on networks and producers not to raise the cost of chicken eggs before Easter. A decrease in grain purchases for the intervention fund was noted. World cocoa prices have reached a new record due to a reduction in pork exports by Brazil.
