According to the information received from the Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, Ausrine Armonaite, Lithuania is ready to use rail transport for the efficient delivery of 1 million tons of grain from Ukraine through the Klaipeda State Seaport.
Lithuania expresses readiness to assist Ukraine in organizing grain exports beyond the European Union, suggesting the use of a railway route through Poland. However, the problem of incompatible rail gauges remains unresolved. In Ukraine, the gauge is wide, in Poland - narrow, and in Lithuania it is wide again.
