The largest Russian grain exporters have raised the purchase price of wheat in deep-water ports to 14.5 thousand rubles per ton without VAT, said the head of the Union of Grain Exporters Eduard Zernin, TASS reports.
"The largest Russian grain exporters raised the purchase price of wheat at deep-sea ports to 14.5 thousand rubles per ton without VAT. The increase amounted to 1,270 rubles since the announcement of changes in the formula for calculating export duties, announced by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev at the All-Russian Grain Forum" , - he said.
The head of the union noted the steady demand for Russian grain on the world market. According to him, this allows us to confidently talk about the sale of wheat of Russian origin in the range of $230-240 per ton in June-July, that is, at the transition of 2022/23 and 2023/24 agricultural years. He stressed that Russian exporters "are aware of the results of the latest international tenders."
"We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the winners of these tenders, international traders, did not represent the interests of Russian exporters, so we do not understand the reasons for their pricing. Russian exporters do not plan to supply them with grain at dumping, economically unjustified prices. The fulfillment of uncovered tender obligations lies entirely with international speculators "Zernin said.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution to increase the base price for calculating the export duty on wheat exported from Russia outside the states that are parties to the Customs Union agreements to 17,000 rubles. Previously, the base price for calculating the export duty on wheat was 15,000 rubles. According to the resolution, the base price for calculating the export duty on barley and corn has also been increased - from 13,875 rubles to 15,875 rubles.
