One of the significant steps in increasing the horse population for the needs of the company "Miratorg" was the announcement of the creation of a horse breeding farm. A local project has now gained official status and moved to a new level of development. It will be implemented in the Bryansk region, on the territory of the Brasovsky division, just 3 kilometers away from the cattle farm "Osotskoe." The press service of the agroholding "Agroinvestor" emphasized that the company acquired a production base for breeding horses called "Osotskoe," which will be reconstructed by the end of the year. The subsequent amount of investment in the project is not disclosed.

Currently, "Miratorg" houses 1.6 thousand horses, including 90 broodmares. The project for their breeding has been ongoing for several years, and the offspring are already actively utilized in work. Horses play a key role in managing the herd of beef cattle. They assist operators in moving cattle between pastures across hundreds of hectares, capturing animals with lassos for veterinary procedures, providing flexibility and control over the herd.

It is expected that the new horse breeding farm will annually increase the herd by 70-80 heads, which will fully meet the company's needs for horses on meat project farms in several regions: Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Orel, Smolensk, and Tula.

Previously, the company purchased horses abroad and in the Karachay-Cherkessia region, but starting from this year, the focus is on their own breeding. The breeding project will utilize horses of different breeds already present in the company: Quarter Horses imported from the USA and already within the company, as well as Budenny, Karachai, and their crossbreeds. "Miratorg" emphasizes that the main focus will be on breeding purebred Quarter Horses and using their blood to improve other breeds. Additionally, a genetic evaluation of offspring will be conducted for further breeding in their laboratory. Since 2012, the company has acquired the first Quarter Horse breed horses, known for their easy trainability and workability. As a result of mating with Caucasian horses, more obedient, adaptive, and intelligent animals were obtained, which are best suited for work on the company's farms.
