From January to November 2023, more than 170 thousand tons of grain products were exported from the region.
Rosselkhoznadzor published calculations of the export volumes of Kuzbass grain for 11 months of this year. During this period, 177.4 thousand tons of grain, beans and grain processing products were sent from the region. This figure turned out to be five times higher than the same period last year.
Despite the fact that for several months China was the leading importer of Kuzbass grain, Kazakhstan became the main importer of the year. The main importer of Kuzbass grain accounted for 33% of all grain products shipped over the year. China was in second place with an indicator of 32.8%.
Most often, Kazakhstan purchases Kuzbass wheat, wheat bran, rapeseed, dried lentils, semolina and soybean cake. The most commonly shipped products to China are rapeseed, barley, wheat flour, dried peas, flax seeds and oats.
Other foreign countries also purchase goods from Kuzbass. Thus, Kuzbass farmers often conclude grain deals with North Korea, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia.
Europe was not left out either. The European importers of Kuzbass grain crops in Europe remain: Lithuania, Poland and the Netherlands. Most often, Europeans buy dried peas from the Kemerovo region.
