Farmers in the Moscow region have started fertilizing winter crops (wheat, rye) and perennial grasses, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region reports.
"Winter plants require a wide range of nutrients and trace elements, each of which performs its functions. It is especially important to ensure an adequate amount of them with each sowing on the same plots. Our farmers have developed a system for introducing beneficial components that help plants survive the winter and actively start growing in the spring. We approach this issue with great responsibility, as an excess of nutrients can harm the soil and worsen its fertility," said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Vladislav Murashov.
In the Moscow region, fertilization of over 11 thousand hectares of winter crops has already been carried out, including winter cereals - 11.4 thousand hectares, winter rapeseed - 0.06 thousand hectares, and perennial grasses - 6.6 thousand hectares.
Earlier, the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, emphasized the importance of supporting agricultural producers. Innovative technologies also play an important role in the industry.
"We must carefully consider the nuances that determine crop yields. And it is important to offer support measures that will bring maximum effect," the Governor emphasized.
