For barley, the export rate will remain zero
New rates of customs duties are set from 12 to 18 July, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Export duty:
for wheat - will increase by 380 rubles: from 2,609.6 to 2,989.6 rubles per ton;
for barley - remains zero;
for corn - will increase by 404.7 rubles - from 832.7 to 1,237.4 rubles per ton.
Duties for next week were calculated based on indicative prices per ton:
wheat — $239.2 ($245 a week earlier);
barley — $174 ($178.1 a week earlier);
corn — $198.4 ($201.7 a week earlier).
From July 6, 2022, grain duties are calculated in rubles, not dollars. The duty is 70% of the difference between the base and indicative price. The indicators are based on the prices of export contracts, which are registered on the Moscow Exchange.
The base price for calculating the export duty on wheat was revised from June 7, 2023 and increased by 2,000 rubles, amounting to 17,000 rubles per ton for wheat, and 15,875 rubles per ton for barley and corn. As noted earlier in the Ministry of Agriculture, this decision will reduce the export duty rate by 1.4 thousand rubles per ton.
