The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Samara Region, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Budgetary Professional Education Institution "Samara-ARIS", the association "People's Farmer of the Samara Region", the Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection and Quarantine named after Zh. Zhiymbayev, as well as the Federal State Budgetary Institution "SAS Samara".
Sergey Kirsanov, Head of the Plant Growing and Agriculture Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Samara Region, opened the meeting, emphasizing that the region is actively increasing agricultural production volumes. Despite unfavorable weather conditions and risky agricultural conditions, the annual production volume of grain and oil crops has reached about 4 million tons in the last two years.
"This level of production significantly affects the humus content and nutrient levels in arable land. Today, it is necessary to consider the challenges that await us in the near future," Sergey Kirsanov stressed.
Sergey Obuschenko, Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "SAS Samara", reported on the state of agricultural lands in the region.
Scientists from the Samara Region, the Republic of Tatarstan, and Kazakhstan presented practical recommendations on organic farming that can be applied in practice. They focused on the possibilities of using bio-preparations in organic agriculture, biological plant protection methods, and modern precision processing technologies.
Vasily Fokin, Head of an agricultural enterprise from the Pestrayevsky District, shared his practical achievements in the field of biological farming.
