The harvesting of cereals and leguminous crops is coming to an end in the region.

In the region, the harvest of grain and leguminous crops is entering the home stretch.

“In the Moscow region, the plan for harvesting grain and leguminous crops has been completed by 81%. Crops have been removed from an area of more than 150 thousand hectares. The gross harvest amounted to more than 620 thousand tons with an average yield of 40.3 centners per hectare,” said Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government Georgy Filimonov, who supervises the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

The deputy chairman added that last year the yield was lower and amounted to 39.2 centners per hectare.

Among the harvested crops, winter grains were harvested on an area of 78.5 thousand hectares. The gross harvest amounted to 345 thousand tons, with an average yield of 43.9 centners per hectare.

Spring grains were harvested on an area of 65.9 thousand hectares, the gross harvest amounted to 242.7 thousand hectares.

Leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 9.6 thousand hectares. The gross harvest amounted to 33.5 thousand tons.
