In the Krasnodar Territory, winter wheat harvesting is in full swing

This year, winter wheat will be removed from an area of 1.6 million hectares in the Kuban.

Agrarians of the region have already started harvesting the main grain crop.

– The harvesting campaign has started in almost all municipalities and is proceeding at a good pace. Farmers harvest barley and wheat. According to operational data, the total gross harvest of these crops already exceeds 227 thousand tons. More than a thousand combine harvesters work in the fields every day,” NIA-Kuban was told in the press service of the regional administration.

The first to start threshing were the agricultural enterprises of Pavlovsky, Vyselkovsky, Gulkevichsky, Dinsky, Primorsko-Akhtarsky and Krasnoarmeisky districts.

Only during the first day of harvesting in the Krasnodar Territory, about 1.3 thousand hectares occupied by this crop were threshed. The gross harvest of grain exceeded 8 thousand tons. The average regional yield is 62.5 centners per hectare. In 2021, this figure reached only 61.8 centners per hectare. In general, the crop will have to be removed from an area of 1.6 million hectares.
