Sugar beet harvesting in the EAEU countries as of October 19, 2023

Sugar beet in the Eurasian Economic Union has been harvested from an area of 750 thousand hectares, producing 35.3 million tons of beets. The average yield is 47.2 tons per hectare. 20,898.4 thousand tons of beets have been processed, resulting in the production of 2,822.4 thousand tons of sugar.

Data from the Eurasian Sugar Association (as of October 19):
In the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), sugar beets were harvested from an area of 750 thousand hectares, which is 26.4% more than last year.
35.3 million tons of sugar beets have been harvested, which is 35% more than in 2022.
The average sugar beet yield in the EAEU is 47.2 t/ha, which is 6.9% higher than in 2022.
As of October 16, 73 sugar factories in the EAEU countries processed 20,898.4 thousand tons of sugar beets, from which 2,822.4 thousand tons of sugar were produced.
Russian Federation:
682.9 thousand hectares of sugar beet crops were harvested, which is 63.8% of the total sown area.
32,342.9 thousand tons of sugar beets were dug up.
The average yield was 47.4 t/ha.
SoyuzSemsvekla company data:
75% of the sugar beet crops of our own selection from the total sown area have been harvested.
The average yield is 59.8 t/ha and sugar content is 16.0%.
Republic of Belarus:
Sugar beets were harvested from an area of 54.5 thousand hectares, which is 54% of the total sown area.
2,495.5 thousand tons of root crops were dug up.
The average yield is 45.8 t/ha.
The Republic of Kazakhstan:
4.8 thousand hectares of sugar beet crops were harvested, or 29.8% of the total sown area.
191.0 thousand tons of beets were dug up.

Republic of Kyrgyzstan:
Sugar beets were harvested from an area of 7.5 thousand hectares, or 53.6% of the total sown area.
317.0 thousand tons of beets were dug up.
