Public Joint Stock Company "Samara Fat Plant", previously part of the group of companies "NMZH", is now included in the agroholding "Rusagro".
"Rusagro" also clarified that the Samara enterprise continues to operate. It is worth noting that at the end of 2019, its operation was temporarily suspended. In 2022, there were rumors about the sale of the production facility. According to "NMZH", this was due to the lack of interest in the region. The company indicated that they were ready to sell the "Samara Fat Plant" for 300 million rubles.
The enterprise includes property at 22 Maltseva Street in Samara, consisting of 30 real estate objects with a total area of 40.9 thousand square meters, and a leased land plot with an area of 91.6 thousand square meters.
The Open Joint Stock Company "Samara Fat Plant" was established in 1992 through the privatization of the State Enterprise "Samara Fat Plant". In October 2002, it became part of the group of companies "NMZH". The main activity of the "Samara Fat Plant" was the production of oil and fat products, including margarine, mayonnaise, sunflower oil (under the trade marks "Sdobri", "Ryaba", "Rosinka", "Samara creamy", "Home").
In the report of "Rusagro", it is stated that in 2023 the holding closed a deal to acquire 50% of the group of companies "NMZH". NMZH owned a butter and fat plant in Nizhny Novgorod, a fat plant in Samara, oil extraction plants in Uryupinsk and Sorochinsk, as well as elevators in the Volgograd, Orenburg, Samara, Saratov regions, and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Until July 24, 2024, PJSC "Samara Fat Plant" belonged to LLC PKF "Profit", which had the assets of the "NMZH" group. Then the joint-stock company "Triton" replaced PKF "Profit" in the list of founders of the fat plant. As explained by "Rusagro", the Samara production facility is currently part of the agroholding's structure.
In addition to the fat plant in Samara, "Rusagro" acquired other assets of "NMZH" in the Samara region: JSC "Bolsheglushitskoye HPP", JSC "Pestravskoye HPP", LLC "Borsky Elevator". All of them, along with other enterprises of "Rusagro", were re-registered to JSC "Etalon" in June-September 2024.
