The wheat harvest forecast in Argentina for the 2024/25 season has been reduced to 19.5 million tons due to adverse weather conditions.

Experts from the Rosario Grain Exchange have lowered the wheat crop forecast in Argentina for the 2024/25 season from 20.5 million tonnes to 19.5 million due to the lack of precipitation.

The forecasts for corn and soybean crops remain unchanged: corn at 51-51 million tonnes and soybeans at 52-53 million tonnes.

Experts from the Rosario Grain Exchange, in their latest forecast on October 9, refined the wheat production forecast in Argentina for the 2024/25 season. They revised the expected figure down to 19.5 million tons, which represents a 5% deviation from the previous estimate of 20.5 million tons.

This decrease is justified. The situation is explained by the fact that significant rainfall is not forecasted in Argentina in the near future, which negatively affects the development of wheat, currently in a critical phase of its growth. As a result, the plant is losing its yield potential.

However, forecasts for other crops remain unchanged. Analysts confirm their preliminary estimates for corn production (51-51 million tons) and soybeans (52-53 million tons) in Argentina.
