Updating the agricultural machinery fleet in the Nizhny Novgorod region cost more than 5.5 billion rubles this year.
During 9 months of 2023, agricultural producers in the Nizhny Novgorod region purchased 1.2 thousand units of agricultural machinery and equipment for a total amount of 5.5 billion rubles, as reported by Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources.
He emphasized that the presence of modern and energy-rich equipment on farms significantly affects the quality of field work and obtaining a high yield. As part of the renewal of the machine and tractor fleet every year, agricultural producers in the region acquire new machinery and equipment. This year we purchased tractors, grain and forage harvesters, seeding systems and other equipment.
“Technical modernization of the agro-industrial complex is one of the priority areas in the distribution of budget funds. Taking into account the rising cost of equipment, it was decided to revise the rates for reimbursement of part of the costs of purchasing equipment upward. Information about this will be communicated to agricultural producers after the approval of the relevant regulations,” said Nikolai Denisov.
For the technical modernization of the agro-industrial complex, the budget has provided more than 380 million rubles, and subsidies to support the agro-industrial complex and the development of rural areas amount to 5.4 billion rubles, of which 4 billion rubles have already been received by agricultural producers. Now purchased equipment is subsidized, and the size of the subsidy depends on the type of equipment.
