Lipetsk farmers are already applying for insurance compensations after frosts that damaged agricultural crops, announced Igor Kremnev, the deputy governor of the Lipetsk region, in the official Telegram channel of the government's press service.

The structure of planting areas in the region will remain unchanged - all perished crops are currently being replanted. According to preliminary data, the crop loss due to frosts has been recorded at 137 enterprises. Replanting covers 40,000 hectares. There are sufficient seeds available, explained the deputy governor.

An emergency situation regime in agriculture was introduced in the Lipetsk region due to the May frosts, allowing farmers to apply for insurance payments now.

Igor Kremnev also noted that preferential loans are available for agricultural companies in the region if needed.
