Over the next two weeks, Australia expects a positive decision from China on a full settlement of the dispute between the countries over barley tariffs. This was stated by Commerce Secretary Don Farrell, according to CNA.
"We expect a favorable tariff decision in the next couple of weeks, which is currently holding back Australian barley from entering the Chinese market," the minister said.
As noted, in April this year. Australia has said it will suspend its World Trade Organization case over China's anti-dumping duty on barley after China announced plans to revise them.
As political tensions ease between the countries, Australia has also urged China to lift its current trade restrictions.
